Teaching

ITRN Teaching is an initiative focusing on advancing the principles of reproducibility and open science. This initiative stems from our commitment to fostering transparency, reliability, and collaboration in scientific research, centering three main pillars: educational resources, expert networks, and course promotion.

The initiative is ran by (in alphabetical order): Sara Garofalo (Università di Bologna), Marco Lezcano (Università di Verona), Marco Tullio Liuzza (Università di Padova), Thomas Charles Joseph Quettier (Università di Bologna), Michele Scandola (Università di Verona), Cristina Zogmaister (Università di Milano Bicocca).

You can contact the initiative (collectively) at teaching@itrn.org

GOALS

We aim to organize and make a comprehensive collection of existing teaching materials related to reproducibility and open science accessible. At the same time we will actively create new teaching materials designed to address current gaps and emerging needs.

We will compile and maintain an up-to-date list of courses focused on reproducibility and open science. We will establish a directory of experts in reproducibility and open science. This will facilitate connections between learners and seasoned professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

We will actively promote courses related to reproducibility and open science. This includes both standalone workshops and those integrated into existing educational programs. We will also advocate for the inclusion of reproducibility and open science training within doctoral programs.
